Gaspard Gabriel is a French bass player, producer, and educator based in Los Angeles.
He graduated from Berklee College of Music in Performance and Music Production. Gaspard’s musical roots run deep, from soul, jazz, funk, disco, pop, hip-hop, acid jazz, and electronic music. He focuses on crafting solid basslines and grooves that seamlessly support any composition or performance. While he sees the bass as the foundation of the sound, he also strives to make it sing with warmth, depth, and resonance, blending harmoniously with other instruments.
He has toured across France with his band HS and performed with a wide range of jazz, funk, soul, pop, and fusion ensembles in Paris. Now living and working in Los Angeles, Gaspard continues to develop his artistry as both a producer and performer. He released his debut EP Asleep, followed by his first full-length album The Awakening in 2025, a project that blends funk, jazz, world music, and synth-driven textures into a rich and soulful soundscape.
